LSi Business School is commited to ensuring fair and equitable policies and procedures in place to help the students who have financial problems but great potential and talents for pursuing higher education. This policy has been developed to facilitate the process of the scholarship provisions at LSi Business School. LSi Business School offers some scholarships to the students each year, and some scholarships are from external sponsors and partners of LSi Business School. Different types of the scholarships have different requirements and criteria; therefore, please contact the Scholarship Office for more details.

Purpose and Scope :

This policy is set to give instructions and guidelines about, when the scholarship is available, how the students can apply, and who can be the eligible applicants for a scholarship.

Office in Charge :

Department of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA) is responsible for the application screening and submit the application forms to the Scholarship Committee for the approval. The Scholarship Committee is responsible for approving every scholarship application with a majority consent. The Committee is composed of the members from :

1. Academic Council
2. Department of SME, HRM and English Programs
3. Department of Academic and Student Affairs
4. Office of International Relations
5. Office of Accounting and Finance

Procedure and Requirements :

The granted scholarship student must maintain minimum 80% score in the grading scale of LSi Business School or at least 3.0 grade-point average (GPA) from the total courses in each semester. If the GPA of a scholarship recipients falls below 3.0 for each semester of the year in which it is awarded, the scholarship for the follwing semester will be reduced at 10% and students have to pay for its cost of the courses. The scholarship student must follow all rules and regulations of LSi Business School, and actively involved in all community and voluntary work of LSi Business School. The Scholarship Committee is given a month timeline to have applications be approved. Criteria for scholarship grants may include, but are not limited to, the follwing:

1. Prior academic performance;
2. Performance of each applicant on tests designed to measure ability and aptitude for educational work;
3. Recommendations from instructors of such applicant and any others who have knowledge of the applicant's capabilities;
4. Additional biographical information regarding an applicant's career, academic and other relevant experiences, financial need; and
5. The applicant's motivation, character, ability, or potential.
